Kim Gu is assassinated by Ahn Doo-hee

Kim Gu is assassinated by Ahn Doo-hee (안두희), a Korean lieutenant who was later revealed to be working with the fascist, anti-communist group Baek-ui-sa (백의사), which was funded by the U.S. Counter-Intelligence Corps (CIC).

Kim Gu was in communication with Kim Il-sung and Kim Tu-bong regarding working towards reunification, and held popular support among the Korean people.
