Uiyeoldan attempts to assassinate Japanese Army General Kiichi Tanaka

On March 28, 1922, Kim Ik-sang, Lee Jong-am, and Oh Seong-ryun, members of the anarchist group Uiyeoldan (의열단), attempted to shoot Japanese Army General Kiichi Tanaka at the Shanghai Hwangbogun Pier. They missed and ended up wounding four people and killing one. Oh Seong-ryun managed to escape from prison, and Kim Ik-sang was executed in 1943.
