Korean communist organize the Asong Communist Party in Acheng, Kirin Province

Korean communists who were disappointed in the joint Sino-Korean communist undertakings in Manchuria detached themselves from the Chinese and organized a new group known as the Asong Communist Party in Acheng, Kirin Province on January 3, 1936. The party operates under the leadership of Yi Chong-sik.

The Korean Fatherland Restoration Association in Manchuria is established. According to Kim Il-sung, the founding date is actually May 5 but documents of the Association indicate the date to be June 10.
